Quant Interview Last Week Review
What to review in the last week before a quant interview: repair known misses, run mocks, keep arithmetic sharp, and avoid cramming traps.
Candidates in the final week before a quant interview.
Repair, do not restart
The last week is not for rebuilding your entire prep plan. Use the latest mocks and diagnostics to choose two or three repair targets. If conditional probability is weak, repair that. If market making communication is weak, rehearse quote explanations.
Run mixed sets
Use mixed sets to test recognition across topics. Keep them short enough to review fully. A final-week mixed set should answer one question: which mistake still appears under light pressure?
Keep arithmetic warm
Do short mental math sessions, not exhausting marathons. Fractions, percentages, expected payoff arithmetic, and rough estimation should stay sharp. Stop if error rates climb because tired practice can train bad habits.
Concrete final-week plan
A simple week could be one mock, two focused repair blocks, two short mental math sessions, one mixed probability and EV set, and one light review day. The day before the interview should favor confidence and clarity over new material.
Prepare communication
Review your opening habits: state assumptions, choose a method, compute visibly, check scale, and summarize. Practice recovering from one deliberate mistake so you are not surprised if it happens live.
Common mistakes
Candidates often cram new topics, take too many mocks, or abandon sleep to gain a few more problems. The final week should reduce variance, not create it.
Practice the pattern
Use the LeetQuidity curriculum and calibration to turn this topic into a focused practice plan.
